A quick post to test this section of the board, get something going in it, and teach anyone passing by the messageboard (anyone?) something about the Solar System.......

Our Solar System comprises of...

1x Star = The Sun

8x Main Planets = Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

5x Dwarf Planets = Pluto, Ceres, Eris, Makemake & Haumea

1x object not officially classed as a Planet yet = Sedna

Loads of Asteroids (Several Hundred thousand discovered so far, many more yet to be discovered, and too many to list) + Loads of Comets
